This game will not only allow you to train your memory but also to learn about energy efficient heating technologies, energy labels and savings that new and efficient heating appliances can provide in different European countries.
More than 60% of the currently installed heating technologies in Europe are older than 15 years and inefficient, which causes high-energy consumption, CO2 emissions and high heating bills. Todays’ market offers new efficient heating technologies fitting all needs and budgets and allowing important savings. Play the game and learn about new efficient heating technologies that is good for you and the planet!
How to play the game:
The game focuses on efficient heating technologies. It works like a classic Match-Pairs-Mind-Game (classic memory game). This is the fun: time is running to be an expert, chose your expert level by being faster than the time. The subjects of cards are explained further down and undercover important information and facts about heating appliances and more. In particular, you will learn a lot about energy consumption, efficient technologies and your contribution to limit climate change.
When the game begins,
… only the back of the cards appears (the same for every card). Click on one card then another, if they match, they will stay face up. If not, they will be turned back, and you can try again to match two cards.
The game has 5 levels !
Higher level equals higher “expertise”. You complete a level only when you find all pairs and the cards are all face up. Additionally, you can win points with, for each pair, one point obtained. Then you continue with the next level that will be more difficult because time will be shorter. The 16 playing cards (8 pairs) will remain pulled out of the 24 cards randomly.

If you win the game (within time constraints for each level), you can look at all pairs so that you become an “expert” about heating systems that are based on thermal energy, biomass, etc. Finally, you can have access to the HARPa online tool and continue with a free evaluation of your heating system, getting information and support on how to change your system for a more efficient and money and emission saving heating system.

Memory game “sHARPen & heat your memory” is produced as part of the European HARP project.

HARP (Heating Appliances Retrofit Planning) project gathers 18 partners from 5 European countries. The main idea of the project is to motivate consumers to plan the replacement of their often old and inefficient heating appliances, with more efficient alternatives.
