Catalysing international cooperation, structuring science-policy-territory dialogue, and accelerating the deployment of concrete climate solutions. CI2C 2026 aims to transform knowledge into operational action by mobilising public and private stakeholders around just and sustainable pathways.
From Knowledge to Action: A Systemic Challenge for Territories
As climate change accelerates, territories -particularly in Africa and developing countries- are on the front line of environmental, economic and social impacts. Despite significant scientific progress, a persistent gap remains between knowledge production, its translation into policy commitments, and its implementation into concrete, funded and locally adapted action.
The challenges are systemic: access to energy, food security, natural resource management, infrastructure resilience and social cohesion. In this context, public decision-makers, private sector actors, researchers and civil society must strengthen cooperation, structure dialogue, and co-develop integrated, operational and replicable solutions.
CI2C 2026 is part of this dynamic, bringing these stakeholders together to accelerate the implementation of concrete responses grounded in science, territorial realities and community needs.
Accelerating the Transformation of Knowledge into Action
Transform knowledge into policy commitments and concrete action by strengthening international and territorial cooperation to accelerate the implementation of integrated climate solutions.
ENERGIES 2050 as a Co-Organising Partner within a Multi-Stakeholder Dynamic
As a co-organising partner of the International Climate Change Conference, ENERGIES 2050 contributes to the scientific, strategic and operational structuring of CI2C.
Through its systemic approach, ENERGIES 2050 supports the strengthening of links between research, public policy and territorial action, contributing to the development of concrete, context-adapted and replicable solutions. Its engagement is part of a collective dynamic aimed at reinforcing the international reach of the conference and supporting just and sustainable transition pathways.
Addressing Key Climate Challenges Through Thematic Areas
CI2C 2026 is structured around a set of thematic areas covering the main scientific, economic and societal challenges of climate change. These themes guide discussions and promote an interdisciplinary approach, integrating climate science, territorial dynamics and transformation levers.
Key topics include climate science and emerging technologies (Big Data and artificial intelligence), ecosystems and biodiversity, agriculture and food security, health and human dimensions, as well as public policies for adaptation and mitigation.
The conference also places strong emphasis on climate justice, loss and damage, energy transition and decarbonisation of economic systems, along with governance, sustainable finance and entrepreneurial innovation.
This thematic structure enables cross-sectoral dialogue, fosters synergies across disciplines, and supports the development of integrated solutions aligned with international priorities and territorial needs.
A Conference Under High Patronage with International Recognition
Held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the International Climate Change Conference has established itself as a key scientific and institutional event. The involvement of high-level figures, including the Advisor to His Majesty André Azoulay, reflects the strategic importance of climate issues and the role of the conference in addressing them.
Over the years, CI2C has brought together hundreds of researchers, experts and decision-makers from numerous countries, strengthening its international outreach. The scientific quality of its contributions is also recognised through academic publications, including partnerships with Springer Nature.
This recognition gives the conference strong legitimacy to foster dialogue, support structured reflection, and promote the emergence of concrete climate solutions at the international level.
A Platform for Dialogue, Innovation and Co-Construction
Beyond scientific sessions, CI2C 2026 offers a range of spaces designed to foster exchange, collaboration and the development of concrete initiatives. The conference combines plenary sessions, round tables, thematic discussions, research presentations, and interactive formats encouraging dialogue across disciplines and stakeholders.
Additional activities such as field visits, networking opportunities and youth-focused initiatives help connect discussions with territorial realities and strengthen cooperation dynamics.
This approach facilitates stakeholder engagement, knowledge sharing and the identification of collaboration opportunities. It also creates an environment conducive to innovation, experimentation and the implementation of solutions adapted to climate challenges.
The conference also contributes to international climate dynamics, particularly in connection with the Conferences of the Parties (COP), where its outcomes and recommendations are regularly shared and promoted.
