ART’s PLANET 2017 exhibition

For the 2017’s edition of ART’s PLANET, ENERGIES 2050 and its partner launch an international citizen and artistic initiative on the theme: Climate, Migration and Solidarity: The Art of Collectiveness

The objective of this international citizen and artistic initiative is to offer citizens, and especially young people and the art community, the opportunity to express themselves and participate in their own way to the major challenges our societies are facing.

We invite each citizen to be part of a global but locally based art’s performance, to be presented during COP23 in Bonn (Germany) from the 6th to the 17th of November 2017

The Climate Club is an initiative to advance solutions for a low carbon future.

Launched as a cycle of events (Cap COP21) in 2015, the Climate Club brings together companies, NGOs, foundations and climate leaders to build concrete solutions for low carbon businesses and territories. We organise meetings on climate change issues to advance discussions. Example of key topics addressed include assessing climate risk, integrating a carbon price, and metrics for the Sustainable Development Goals.

We also engage in research and publish technical reports which open the door for businesses and territories to transition towards a sustainable future.

Public utility Enedis employs 38,500 people and delivers services to 36 million customers. The company develops, operates, modernises and maintains an electrical grid featuring 1.4 million kilometres of low and medium-voltage lines (0,4 and 20kV), and manages all the grid-related data. Enedis advises and consults on their new district development plans, energy choices and the installations required.

Enedis is preparing for the technology changes sweeping the energy sector, while anticipating changes in France’s energy mix and the role that digital technologies will play in reducing electricity consumption. The company is a key player in the energy transition process by striving to modernise the grid and ploughing resources into many French and European “smart grids”projects.

C’est le sens de Paris Process on Mobility and Climate (PPMC : http://www.ppmc-transport.org/) qui porte la voix du transport durant les négociations sur le climat.

Our publications

ENERGIES 2050 is the lead author of several key publications to inform and build capacities of all stakeholders on climate issues. Since COP20 in Lima, the NGO leads the writing of the guide to climate change negotiations for UNFCCC’s negotiators, published by the Institute of la Francophonie for Sustainable Development (IFFD) subsidiary of the Organization Internationale of la Francophonie (OIF).

[kleo_gap size=”20px”]

True to its social objective and its desire to put the citizen at the heart of the action, ENERGIES 2050 adapted since COP21 the guide to negotiations to a non-expert, non-professional audience. The goal is that anyone at its own level can understand these issues and get involved in a decisive process for our collective history. The 2017 edition is being finalized, and previous versions of this report are available here (French only):

[kleo_gap size=”20px”]

ENERGIES 2050 also regularly publishes reports related to climate change, focusing for example on Mediterranean issues, climate finance, Sustainable Development Objectives, etc. All of our reports can be found here.
