One of the main objectives of ENERGIES 2050 is to put citizens, especially young people, at the heart of the challenges of climate change and sustainable development. While the literature on climate negotiations is abundant, very few publications focus on deciphering the complex processes of climate negotiations with a desire for citizen accessibility.
To address this, ENERGIES 2050 has written and published a teaching guide on the UNFCCC negotiating processes, its history, the main issues and the progress they have made, with a scientific context for climate change. This Guide on Citizen-Friendly Climate Negotiations was first produced for COP21 and an updated version will be presented in Marrakech.
