ENERGIES 2050 in Warsaw

for the 19th Climate Conference
The 19th meeting of the Conference of the Parties under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the 9th meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol took place from 11 to 22 November in Warsaw (Poland).
This moment of major climate negotiations is a crucial step towards a comprehensive agreement to be signed by all governments in 2015. COP 19 is expected to achieve a fair, ambitious and legally binding plan for a regime post-2015 climate change. Among other things, the ambition of short-term mitigation and funding issues will be addressed.
Stéphane Pouffary, Director-General of ENERGIES 2050 and President-elect of the Executive Committee of the UNEP-SBCI Program (United Nations Environment Program – Climate and Sustainable Buildings Initiative) intervened in a side event organized the 14th by the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) and the CEFIC (European Chemical Industry Council) “Accelerating Climate Solutions: Technological and Policy Options for Reducing Energy Use and GHG Emissions”. The subject of his presentation was: Buildings and Cities as Drivers of Change – Create a resource-efficient building sector to reduce GHG emissions towards a Low Carbon Future.
