Our societies face challenges of an unprecedented scale in their intensity and interdependence: climate change, energy, social and economic crises, disparity and depletion of resources … A set of issues in which citizens can quickly feel overwhelmed, Without really knowing how to react or act. Yet, in the face of these challenges, we are all concerned and it has become clear that the time of the individual is no longer on the agenda … We must also remember in this context that we are all carriers of tremendous opportunities To act, according to our realities, and in this sense, the involvement of all is indispensable.

The actions of ENERGIES 2050 are part of the desire to share with the greatest number of universal concerns in order to make the major issues of sustainable development less complex. It is also a question of informing on the means of action that each has to become a real actor of this transition that it is indispensable to implement.

ENERGIES 2050 wishes to place the citizen at the heart of the action because the stakes of a sustainable development, fair and solidarity must be a priority for all. While being aware of the constraints and realities of each one, the ENERGIES 2050 association is convinced that every day can be and must be the bearer of innovation and future different, acting for the promotion of positive values.

The project

This is how the project of the international exhibition “ART’s PLANET by ENERGIES 2050” was born.

Every year, an exhibition theme will be offered and everyone will be free to express themselves on this subject via a drawing, a photo, a selfie (photo or video), a video, a poem or any other means of communication, inspired. From this, ENERGIES 2050 chose to accompany the exhibition by organizing participatory and inclusive debates to invite action on the basis of a shared understanding of the challenges but also the opportunities for action.

Around these spaces of exchange and the citizen platform that will be represented by the international exhibition “ART’s PLANET by ENERGIES 2050”, each one should be able to testify of its own reality, its emotions, its frustrations or its joys. It could also be an opportunity to tell a past, present or future story to testify to the creativity of Man and Nature, in order to multiply initiatives and inspire everyone on positive and promising futures future.

This moment must allow each one of us, citizens of the planet, to say “I testify and I act!

Everyone, here or elsewhere, are actors of change!

Art and culture to question and invite to action

ENERGIES 2050 is convinced that the emotion aroused by a work of art can constitute an invitation to action equivalent, or even superior to the force of persuasion of a discourse. This is all the more true for the citizen, who can easily feel completely overwhelmed, impotent, suspicious or even angry, through debates of experts in which he does not recognize himself or in situations that are sometimes presented to him as fatalities.

Art could thus become a means for the greatest number to appropriate the essential stakes and changes to be put in place in our societies to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. Art, and more broadly, culture, could constitute this essential link so that everyone can question, understand better, feel concerned and why not even instill the desire to act.

Art and culture to express and act

The objective of this international exhibition is above all to offer all citizens, and especially young people, the opportunity to express themselves and participate in their own way in the major contemporary challenges facing our societies.

The artistic creations are sometimes funny, sometimes moving, but in any case they testify to the richness and diversity of the perception of realities but also the desire to act to help inscribe our societies on more resilient trajectories and more Solidarity here and elsewhere.
